OUIJA (Biography).

In 1994 from the ashes of LEVIAL, OUIJA was born; with the next line-up Baret (bass), Dany (drums), Map (guitar), Ferriz (keyboards) and Midgard (vocal), the band needed another way to communicate their feelings and the different changes about the concept of their music in that moment. After two years of rehearsals, their first official demo, which was recorded in 1996, arrived at Repulse Records which decided to sign up the band immediately to release their work “Riding into the funeral paths” in 1997.
With this work they got a status of underground cult band in Spain as well as abroad, being in their country a pioneering national band of Black metal with great quality and international projection.
Thanks to it, the band also perfomed in concerts across Spain, getting a neverending legion of fans.
In the year 2000 OUIJA recorded their second album,with a lot of changes in the original line up...after having recorded this second album,the band was dissolved and this work wasn't released.
After a decade of silence the Spanish Black Metal Band OUIJA returns to the fray with new material and stronger than ever, fusing their strengths once again Map the founder guitar and brain of the compositions of the band, with the vocalist of the original line-up Midgard. In this new stage, three members of Spellcraft ;Fulgur(drums), Aldromk (bass) and Murcilag (guitar) joined the band so the line-up is totally completed.
In the following autumn the band began to record a mini-CD which would be launched by the Spanish Record Company XTREEM MUSIC at the beginning of next year that will be the preamble for their long play that was launched by the above mentioned label during 2011… Black Metal with old flavour but with OUIJA’s own sound and up-to-date at the same time; aged for many years in the depths of hell...
The eagerly-awaited return of Ouija, in December of 2010, is now embodied in form of a 4-song mini CD entitled "Adversary" which was recorded at Moontower Studios by Javi Bastard and later on, mastered at the famous Swedish Unisound Studios by Dan Swanö, resulting on an astonishing recording which shows the most intense and darkest side of OUIJA as well as keeping these awesome melodies and great song structures which will, for sure, please not only every long time fan of the band, but every lover of great quality Black Metal!!

OUIJA BIOGRAFIA.

En el año 1994 de las cenizas de LEVIAL nace OUIJA, con la siguiente formación Baret (bajo), Dany (bateria), Map (guitarra), Ferriz (teclados) y Midgard (voz),la banda necesitaba otra forma de comunicar sus sentimientos y los diferentes cambios sobre el concepto de su musica en aquel momento. Tras un par de años de ensayos en el 1996 se grabo su primera demo oficial, la cual llego a las manos de Repulse Record que decide ficharlos de inmediato para editar su trabajo “Riding into the funeral paths” en el 1997.
Con este trabajo ellos alcanzaron un status de banda de culto underground tanto en España como en el extranjero, siendo en su pais una de las bandas pioneras de Black Metal estatal hecho con gran calidad y proyeccion internacional. Con la salida de este trabajo la banda tambien hizo muchos conciertos a traves de toda su geografia nacional, consiguiendo una innumerable legion de seguidores.
En el año 2000 la banda graba su segundo album, con muchos cambios de la formación original…después de tener ya el segundo trabajo grabado, la banda se disuelve y este album no fue editado.
Después de una década de silencio la banda vuelve a la carga con nuevo material y mas fuerza que nunca, fusionando sus fuerzas una vez mas Map guitarra fundador y cerebro de las composiciones de la banda mas Midgard vocalista de la formación inicial; a ellos también se unen en esta nueva etapa tres miembros de Spellcraft; Fulgur (bateria), Aldromk (bajo) y Murcilag (guitarra) con lo cual la formación queda totalmente completada. En el próximo otoño la banda entrara a grabar un mini-CD el cual será editado por la compañía española XTREEM MUSIC a principios de invierno que servirá de preámbulo para lo que será su larga duración en el 2011 que también será editado por dicho sello…Black metal con sabor añejo pero con sonido propio y actual a la vez; envejecido durante muchos años en las profundidades del averno…
El esperadísimo retorno de OUIJA sera en Diciembre del 2010 en forma de un mini CD con 4 nuevos temas titulado "Adversary" ,grabado en los Moontower Studios por Javi Bastard para luego ser masterizado en los famosos Unisound Studios de Suecia por Dan Swanö, resultando en una impresionante grabación que muestra una cara más intensa y oscura de OUIJA al mismo tiempo que mantienen ésas buenísimas melodías y grandes estructuras que sin duda gustará no sólo a los fans de toda la vida de la banda, sino a cualquier amante del Black Metal de alta calidad!!
